Launch of FCH JU 2012 call for proposals

The Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking published on 17 January 2012 its 5th annual call for proposals. The call is also published on the Participant portal web site

The deadline for application is 24 May 2012, 17.00 hours (Brussels local time).

Evaluation of proposals is foreseen to take place in June 2012 and applicants will be informed about the results starting in July 2012. Projects selected for contract negotiations should be announced as of September 2012.

EU/US Common topic

This topic introduces as eligibility criteria that “Any proposal submitted to the FCH JU will be eligible only if coordinated with a US proposal (…). This coordination should be balanced in terms of the R&D efforts deployed by the EU and US respectively”.

The DoE has just informed the FCH that for this topic, NREL (National Renewable Energy Laboratory) will lead test and validation efforts  and the Los Alamos National Laboratory will lead any development and state-of-the-art analysis.
